Sweet and tough.

I saw these shots on Citizen Couture this morning and I just loved this girl's look. It's a perfect combination of sweet and tough. I am also really really liking the shades.

Cut out.

I am now feeling like the backs of my clothes are just plain boring. Scissors please.

When Tommy Met Anna.

Last night, I attended the opening of the Bay's When Tommy Met Anna photo exhibit. It was a fantastic event and I was thrilled to meet them both. Tommy Ton's photography is bold, vivid, fun and celebrates  the details. Anna Dello Russo is the perfect subject for him.  It was a camera snapping frenzy, and I am no Tommy Ton, but I did manage to capture some shots of Anna's incredible wardrobe. She is as vibrant and colorful in person as she is in his photographs.

There are quite a few Coachella style shots popping up, this is definitely my favorite thus far.  I love how simple and clean the look is, the perfect backdrop for that killer necklace.

Rugby shirt.

I stumbled onto this photograph of the stylish Shannyn Sossamon and it reminded me of when my sister used to wear Gap rugby shirts in high school. I think I would like to pull this item out of the archives.

Buttoned up.

The buttoned up look is really starting to grow on me. There is something prim and proper about the style that feels fresh to me.

Easy breezy.

LF Stores are a new find for me, and it was their current spring lookbook that caught my eye. I am really digging the breezy, California feel of these pieces. The wide legs in the second photo are amazing, I would happily live in them all summer long.

Vogue's Wild West.

Vogue Spain

I came across both of these Vogue editorials at different times and was intrigued by their similarity in style and subject matter. They are both for April Issues of Vogue (Paris and Spain) but have used different photographers and stylists. There must be a connection, non? Regardless, both are stunning and I am amazed at their creative incorporation of current pieces (Cavali, Ralph Lauren, Dries, Pucci and Armani) to achieve such an historical look.  There is definitely a lot of amazing items to take in from each shot, but I think the accessories are especially fantastic. I'm loving the mix of bracelets in both editorials and I adore the scarf used throughout the first spread.

Kickin' it.

I came across these old pictures of Kate Moss on Tumblr. I loved the simplicity of the all black get up and the pop of her kicks. Her doubled necklace reminds me of ones I used to wear in junior high, I'm liking it.

Advanced Style.

This fantastic short film from stars the incredibly chic women featured in Ari Seth Cohen's Advanced Style blog.  Their confidence and celebration of individual style is so inspiring. It is a wonderfully refreshing point of view on fashion and getting older. "Young women you're going to be an old woman some day, don't worry about it... Every era, it builds character."

New Balance.

I am a big fan of New Balance kicks which is why I wanted to post the first photo from Elle Russia's April issue today. Coincidently, I also just found out that New Balance is launching a microsite today that allows you to custom design their 574 style. I customized a pair of Nikes a few years ago and still love them, so I am excited that New Balance is offering up the same opportunity. I don't believe the site is up and running yet, but if you're curious to read about the Custom 574 launch event you can find more info here.
