Michelle Williams and Wild Nothing.

Since we were just on the topic of stylish, grainy, handheld music vids here is another DIY film for Wild Nothing's "Paradise". I won't lie, my main attraction to this piece is getting a better look at Michelle William's clothes and hair.

It's here...almost.

The full Margiela H&M Lookbook has arrived including price lists allowing for me and many other fans to strategize for the big day, November 15th. The excitement around this collection is three times the usual collab buzz due to the fact these pieces are inspired from original classic Maison Martin Margiela threads. To add even more of a cool factor the press release revealed that "each piece is specifically labeled with a unique tag indicating the season from which it originated, spanning 23 years since the Maison's founding."  Happy to note that everything I am eying is reasonably priced. The oversized pea coat and duvet coat are $349.00, the oversized jeans $79.95, the glove coin purse is $59.95 and the clutch is $179.00, I could keep going but you can access the full price and item list here.

Velvet crush.

I got velvet on my mind. This Jason Wu blazer is killer, I love the western style piping. I've been scoping more affordable versions here.

Chromatics and Chanel.

Looks like the Chromatics not only performed at the Chanel SS 2013 show but also used the opportunity/location for their freshly released "Looking for Love" video. Pretty amazing that it was shot on the IPhone 8mm app, I quite liked the style choice. The film offers a cool behind the scenes look at the Chanel spectacle but I am torn on whether this just feels like a "Chanel" film rather than a Chromatics film.  I do love the track however and applaud the band's clever effort of killing two birds with one stone.

Maison Martin Margiela for H&M

The official campaign shots for Maison Martin Margiela's H&M collaboration were released today. November 15th is the collection's launch date in H&M's worldwide stores and online. This is one of the few high/low collabs I don't want to miss. I am a big fan of the Martin Margiela house but their prices run a little steep for me. I was happy to see today that the preview pieces are looking just as desirable as I had hoped. More details on the exclusive collaboration here.

Lindbergh for Lindeberg.

Fantastic docu-styled spread for J Lindeberg's 2012 fall collection, shot by one of my all time favorites,
Peter Lindbergh. Lindbergh's gritty, natural style will always win over white studio back drops for me. His Angels editorial for Harper's Bazaar in December 1993 was one of my first posts on this blog, probably my favorite editorial of all time. If you want to see this full editorial, yes there are more shots, you can find it here. There is also a little video at the end showing Lindbergh at work.
