If I love every piece I'm wearing, it always feels like the right combination.

Old school.

This reminds me of a vintage Montreal Alouettes shirt my good friend Shannon used to have when we were teenagers. It was the most coveted item of her wardrobe. I still love the old school style of these shirts and am always on the hunt for them when in vintage shops. I'm really digging the big soft hair too, such a cool look overall.

Shakuhachi.

I came across this Australian label yesterday and was really digging their current spring lookbook. I'm keen on the early 90's feel and I think they've modernized it well. I never thought I would be down with floral jeans but I have to say I'm really wanting this pair. You can order their stuff directly from their site or Shopbop, and I believe Urban Outfitters carries them as well.

The tuxedo.

I found New York's f/w 2011 fashion week somewhat underwhelming. However, there was one theme that appeared in a few shows that did stand out for me, and that was the tuxedo. My favorite interpretation of the look was definitely delivered by Alexander Wang.  I thought his play on the tuxedo tails was both wonderfully edgy and whimsical, and his use of sheer was a refreshingly sexy twist. The collection was a great example of his ability to deliver strong tough looks that still have great feminine appeal.

High waisted.

I love this look, but I definitely need some height when I wear high waisted jeans. The Michael Kors spring sandals I posted a few weeks ago are the perfect solution.

I wouldn't normally like the chaos of this outfit, but this girl's attitude is so awesome it changes the whole look for me.

Outdoorsy.

This is a great example of pulling off an outdoorsy look well. The cut of the jacket is comfortable but  doesn't swallow her whole, and the upturned collar is a cool touch. The tapered jeans are the perfect fit up against the thicker jacket and I love their workman feel.

Pink Docs.

I'm liking this idea of the low rise Doc for spring, especially in pink.

Summer Converse.

This photograph makes me miss my Converse, and the warm weather that allows me to wear them.

It's certainly not an original concept, but a great music track and really cool dancing is always a good combination. I think the spirit of Alexander Wang's spring collection is captured well here.

Snow white.

I haven't considered white tights in ages, but this shot is a nice reminder of how refreshing a look they can be for winter.
